Your Opportunity

We seek a highly motivated Engineering Project Leader/Subject Matter Expert with water and wastewater treatment design and construction experience to join Stantec's Water/Wastewater Sector.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Manage a team of design professionals and technicians, providing construction quality assurance observation and reporting services.
• Lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects, overseeing technical and management aspects.
• Communicate with clients and internal teams regarding project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Apply and share expertise in treatment, wastewater collection, and water system conveyance and facility design.
• Prepare engineering reports and construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Research issues related to water resources impacting projects.
• Ensure project requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
• Oversee multiple projects during construction, providing coordination and problem-solving.
• Participate in local professional organizations to promote and represent the firm.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Effective verbal and written communicator, capable of leading teams.
• Ability to work well with diverse personalities and mentor staff.
• Proficient in project scheduling tools (Microsoft Project, Primavera).
• Experience in client interaction, project budgeting, proposal writing, and invoicing.
• Technical expertise in design and construction methods.
• Proficient in MS Office, Adobe/Bluebeam, and relevant design software (AutoCAD Civil3D, Revit, etc.).

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil/Environmental Engineering; Master's preferred. Licensed Professional Engineer. Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, with preference for US South region experience. Field and office work involved.
