Job summary

Delan Associates, Inc. seeks a Project Manager for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to lead advanced technical, financial, and regulatory planning from development through construction readiness.

You will coordinate environmental, regulatory, land acquisition, interconnection, and project variables to ensure robust financial feasibility and on-time delivery. Strong PMP/Six Sigma credentials and advanced Excel skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in engineering, economics, or construction.
• PM certification (PMP) and Six Sigma experience are highly desired.
• Advanced Excel, financial analysis, and strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction planning and optimization for utility-scale BESS projects.
• Coordinate matrixed development teams to meet project schedules.
• Interface with environmental, regulatory, land acquisition, interconnection stakeholders.
• Develop and optimize technical scope and financial feasibility.
• Support PPA and GIA negotiations and jurisdictional requirements.
• Coordinate engineering, estimating, and procurement for financial models.
• Present financial models to executives and manage approvals.
• Negotiate and contract for services (geotechnical, survey, EPC/PC).
• Ensure smooth handover to Construction PM with executable plan.
