Job summary

OGE Energy Corporation is seeking a Project Manager Specialist to lead the design and construction of generation, transmission, substation, and distribution projects. You will manage budgets, schedules, scope, risks, and reporting while coordinating with customers and stakeholders to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires experience in utility project management, strong leadership, and the ability to drive improvements, with travel and non-standard hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or Construction Management with 6 years related experience; or 5 years PM experience with a Bachelor’s; or Associate’s with 9 years; or HS diploma with 12 years.
• 1 year of experience leading projects.
• PMP Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops timetables and priorities for execution of all design and construction activities of the project.
• Develops project management plans including scope verification, schedules, timelines, milestones, budgets, cash flows, WBS, and resource requirements.
• Collaborates with project management, planning, land management, design, construction, operations, resource coordination, and supply chain personnel.
• Directs and coordinates OG&E and contractor activities to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Projects typically involve 1-3 disciplines or asset types; may work on less complex projects when needed.
• Manage projects from $150k to $5M with high complexity and risk; handle quality/reliability issues and regulatory considerations.
• Responsible for funding, financial analysis, and reporting status on each project.
• Ensures compliance with AFE policy.
• Oversight of design, construction, and commissioning of large or complex projects.
• Evaluates need for contract assistance.
• Ensures resource requirements are forecasted for efficient utilization.
• Ensures complete and timely project closeout including after-action reviews.
• All other duties as assigned.
