MES in Detroit is seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager to lead complex utility projects from initiation through closeout. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure scope, schedule, and budget expectations are met or exceeded.

This onsite role requires three days in our Detroit office, with remaining days eligible for remote work, demanding strong leadership, communication, and risk management to deliver safe, compliant projects on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or General Business.
• 5+ years of project management and utility experience.
• PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of project management: planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout
• Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure project execution
• Track and manage project budgets, schedules, and risks
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders
• Prepare status reports, forecasts, and presentations for clients and leadership
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and industry standards
• Mentor and support project team members including coordinators and field staff

The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams, clients, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure that scope, schedule, and budget expectations are met or exceeded.
