Job summary

K&A Power Group in Hartford, CT is seeking a Project Manager II to lead major engineering, procurement, and construction activities in the energy and utility sectors. You will coordinate diverse teams, manage schedules and budgets, and drive successful project outcomes.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in engineering management or construction management, 10–15 years of utility project experience, and PMP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or Construction Management.
• 10–15 years of experience with 3+ years managing major engineering/procurement/construction activities.
• Prior utility experience is required.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Willingness to travel to office for meetings.
• Strong safety-first focus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal and external resources across engineering, outage planning, site permitting, and related areas.
• Drive project schedule, manage scope, and control costs.
• Develop siting requirements and related documents.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, requisitions, invoices, and change orders.
• Lead team meetings and track actions through construction.
• Coordinate change management with Owner, contractors, and suppliers.
• Coordinate between materials vendors and construction contractors.
• Develop and review technical bid documents and present to stakeholders.
• Provide inputs for contract negotiations and cost reporting.
• Support E‑Builder and ERP systems as needed.
