Job summary

K&A Power Group in Hartford, CT seeks a Project Controls Specialist III to join our team and manage cost and schedule controls for transmission and distribution projects. You will support management across PM, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction with fully resourced schedules and cost baselines.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in utility project controls, a BS in engineering or construction management, and strong Excel/PMIS experience to provide insightful reporting and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 10 years of progressive-related electric utility experience or similar.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent (15 years recommended).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with utility capital investment business models preferred.
• Financial management experience including cash flow forecasting, PO tracking, and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage project schedules for Transmission, Capital, Maintenance and Distribution projects.
• Resource-load schedules to reflect constraints and optimization opportunities.
• Develop and maintain project activities and resources to support project needs.
• Establish and monitor cost baselines and budgets against performance.
