Job summary

Pacifica Services, Inc. in California seeks a Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to oversee and drive complex underground distribution projects from initiation through close-out, coordinating with field teams and stakeholders.

The role requires proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Projects, Teams, SAP, and Primavera P6, plus Caltrans and environmental permitting experience. Strong communication, planning, and proactive issue resolution are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in applicable profession, business, or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Projects, Teams, SAP, and Primavera P6.
• PM2: 5+ years or PM3: 7+ years of project management experience in the field.
• Caltrans and Environmental Permitting experience.
• Preferred: Environmental permitting experience (coastal permits, SWPPP, public lands approvals).
• Preferred: Utility experience, underground utility experience a plus.
• Preferred: Project Management Professional certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project management life cycle from scoping to close-out.
• Lead multiple projects with responsibility for costs, methods and outcomes.
• Coordinate tasks for successful project execution, identify problems and propose solutions.
• Manage budgets and schedules using project controls; forecast costs and track performance.
• Resolve conflicts and drive actions with team members and managers.
• Understand PM core concepts; learn processes and portfolio.
• Communicate clearly and keep actions moving to resolve issues.
