Job summary

Horner & Shifrin is seeking a Senior Roadway Project Manager in our Transportation unit in Salt Lake City, UT. This full-time role requires 10+ years of experience and leads roadway design, planning and delivery with a focus on schedule and budget adherence.

You will interact with clients, manage staff, and develop business in Utah while coordinating with Utah DOT and municipalities. A Utah-PE is preferred; a valid driver's license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in roadway project management.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Utah preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of OpenRoads, Geopak, or Civil3D.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.

Horner & Shifrin is seeking a full-time Senior Roadway Project Manager in our Transportation business unit in Salt Lake City, UT. This position requires 10+ years of experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Interact and communicate with clients, vendors and staff of all levels
• Ability to lead, manage and schedule staff to meet project needs
• Track multiple projects simultaneously to keep jobs on schedule and under budget
• Lead planning, design and delivery of roadway and highway improvement projects.
• Perform transportation engineering analyses and calculations
• Prepare and write engineering and other reports
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships
• Develop business in the Utah region

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience working directly with the Utah Department of Transportation and local municipalities
• Licensed professional engineer in Utah, preferred
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Experience using at least one CADD platform (MicroStation or AutoCAD)
• Knowledge of at least one highway design package (OpenRoads, Geopak, or Civil3D)
• Critical thinking and analysis
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must complete a background check

B.S. in Civil Engineering

SALARY RANGE:

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. offers a comprehensive total rewards package and is committed to fair, competitive, market-based compensation. The target salary range for this position is $110,000 - $155,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
