This role involves managing assigned projects throughout their lifecycle, including developing scope and technical sections of proposals, participating in contract negotiations, and overseeing project delivery to meet HNTB's 4 for 4 performance: quality, on time, on budget, and client satisfaction. The position requires proactive management of budgets, schedules, technical and contractual requirements, and client communications. It includes high-level technical tasks and managing design specifications, calculations, reports, and plans. Coordination with internal and external teams is essential, and the Sr Project Manager typically manages multi-disciplinary teams for projects valued between $1M and $25M.

What You'll Do:

1. Develop project scope and fee quotations; assist in preparing technical proposals and contracts following HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA).
2. Serve as the primary client liaison; manage project teams to deliver scope, schedule, and budget; lead contract scoping and negotiations.
3. Perform technical tasks including analysis, reports, design, and specifications for assigned projects.
4. Implement the project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA); develop and execute project management plans; supervise and mentor teams.
5. Oversee project staffing, including recruitment, development, retention, and performance reviews.
6. Collaborate with business development teams to build client relationships and pursue strategic projects; lead proposal development and presentations.
7. May be responsible for staff recruitment, development, and succession planning.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 12 years of relevant experience.
• At least 4 years of successful engineering project management.

What You'll Bring:

• Proven success in delivering complex projects on time, on budget, with high quality and client satisfaction.
• Experience leading large teams, including managing sub-consultants.
• Proficiency with project management tools and systems.
• Ability to lead HNTB's sophisticated processes relevant to the project.
• Experience serving as the main client interface.
• Talent deployment and development skills for ongoing client relationships.

What We Prefer:

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
