Our expert team works with top-tier clients and agencies to streamline project approvals and ensure success from design through completion.

Position Overview

We’re seeking a Senior Project Manager - Permitting (SPM) to join our high-performing team. In this role, you'll lead project execution from start to finish—owning the permitting process, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery. You'll serve as the primary client liaison, track project milestones, implement problem-solving solutions when needed, and promote best practices in compliance and execution.

If you’re a proactive, detail-oriented leader with experience in permitting and a passion for completing projects efficiently, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do
  1. Manage the full lifecycle of permit-related projects—from initial filing to certificate of occupancy or completion.
  2. Review architectural and civil plans for Department of Buildings (DOB) submission.
  3. Coordinate and communicate with clients, plans examiners, and internal teams.
  4. Serve as the central point of contact on assigned projects, ensuring status updates and alignment with client expectations.
  5. Oversee deliverables including entitlements, timelines, vendor coordination, and risk tracking.
  6. Resolve project challenges with professionalism and urgency.
  7. Ensure compliance with internal procedures and project quality standards.
  8. Prepare reports, documentation, and milestone updates for leadership and clients.
  9. Contribute to productivity goals and continuous improvement efforts.
What You’ll Bring

Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, permitting, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of permitting processes, including historic boards, ARB, and DOT.
  • Ability to read and analyze architectural/civil drawings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—written, verbal, and client-facing.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with a track record of managing multiple priorities.
  • Comfort working independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in expediting, civil engineering, architecture, or construction.
  • Familiarity with municipal permitting portals and regional compliance requirements.
  • Ability to analyze building and zoning codes.
Work Environment & Schedule
  • This is a remote position.
  • Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
  • Full-time, 40 hours/week.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $77,000–$100,000/year, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Free short- and long-term coverage.
  • Free life insurance + optional supplemental plans.
  • Monthly phone stipend.
  • Paid time off: holidays, vacation, sick, personal day, and birthday.
  • Career development and growth opportunities.
