Job description

Leads overall solution development as the key interface with Sales, Engineering/Operations, Technology, and other internal resources to align deliverables with overall project goals throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Functions

  1. Design, develop, and implement supply chain solutions in support of internal/external customers and/or corporate initiatives.
  2. Provide guidance and recommendations that support the sales process and enhance the organization's ability to differentiate and add value to the overall solution and sales strategy for both new and existing customers.
  3. Evaluate customer supply chain networks and provide improvement recommendations, utilizing fact-based analysis and knowledge in transportation modes (parcel, LTL/TL, air freight, ocean, rail) and global shipping requirements.
  4. Assess customer business needs and industry insights to develop high-level strategies for supply chain improvements, leveraging quality tools and processes.
  5. Manage multiple complex assignments concurrently, working individually and/or leading cross-functional teams with internal/external customer interaction.
  6. Lead brainstorming and review sessions to develop recommendations, ensuring industry best practices are applied. Mentor and guide less senior team members.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in quantitative business or a related field.

Minimum of five (5) years of business experience in a supply chain-related field, including designing, maintaining, and implementing solutions to complex business situations. An advanced degree may offset experience requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong presentation skills for solutions to customers and leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, oral, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with business software, spreadsheets, and presentation applications.
  • Commitment to learning and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in automotive industry vertical, international and cross-border supply chain consulting, customs clearance, and industry knowledge are a plus.

Pay Transparency: The salary range provided is an estimate based on location and experience. Actual pay will depend on various factors, including experience, market, and location. Benefits include health, vision, dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Additional Details: Position can be based anywhere in the US excluding AK, HI, and US territories. May require occasional work at a FedEx Campus. Deadline: 4/19/2025, 5 pm Central.
