Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Project Manager for Transmission & Substation to manage high-voltage projects during the Early Stage process. This role focuses on procurement, engineering, permitting, and land aspects while reporting to an onsite manager.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 11-15 years of project management experience, and strong skills in risk, cost, and schedule management. This position is available as a 1-year contract assignment, with an option for remote work for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience managing projects valued over $100MM.
• Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time.

Overview

We’re looking for a Project Manager_ Transmission & Substation on behalf of our client. This is a 1‑year contract assignment (W‑2). The role involves managing the Early Stage (ES) process for high‑voltage transmission and substation projects within E&C, including the development of procurement, engineering, permitting, and land aspects. The position is not responsible for site‑based construction management and reports to the onsite manager. Location: Juno Beach, FL or Remote is an option for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of project plans with focus on execution, cost, and schedule.
• Coordinate diverse teams including Development, Land, Environmental, Legal, Regulatory, Procurement (ISC), Engineering, and Operations.
• Prepare RFP packages to competitively source engineering, survey, geotechnical, LiDAR, and construction services.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Experience: 11 – 15 Years.
• Experience managing projects >$100MM.
• Manage scope, schedule, and cost and documentation skills.
• Ability to travel (~25%).
