Job summary

Welty Energy & Infrastructure (WE&I) in Ohio is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join the Transmission and Substation PM team. You will lead planning, coordination, and execution of projects ranging from 69kV to 765kV, mentoring junior staff and ensuring client satisfaction.

This in-person role is preferred in Akron or Northern Ohio with about 15% travel to work sites; PMP is preferred. Requires 10–15 years in electric utility PM and a bachelor’s in engineering or construction management.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and team coordination abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience leading complex electric utility projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure clear communication across project life cycle.
• Serve as primary client contact for project(s).
• Review specifications, drawings, contracts and other documents for constructability.
• Lead project planning and status meetings to track schedule and budget.
• Provide schedule and budget updates to management teams.
• Oversee construction package reviews, pre-award meetings, site visits.
• Act as the single point of contact for construction submittals and coordination.
• Identify outages and obtain required permits with minimal schedule impact.
• Assist Portfolio Manager(s) with coordination and reporting of activities.
• Perform site safety inspections and focus on stakeholder expectations.
• Adhere to client methods, processes, and policies in project execution.
