Welty Energy in Akron, OH, is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the Transmission and Substation Team to lead high-voltage projects and mentor junior staff. The role requires coordination with clients, planning, and adherence to schedules and budgets across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management.
• 10–15 years in electric utility project management.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; PMP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure clear communication across project lifecycles.
• Serve as the primary client contact for the project(s).
• Review specifications, drawings, contracts for constructability to client standards.
• Lead planning and status meetings to monitor schedule and budget.
• Provide schedule and budget updates to management teams.
• Oversee construction package reviews, pre-award activities, site visits.
• Ensure outages, permits, and approvals are obtained; coordinate with field teams.
• Support Portfolio Manager with reporting and related tasks; perform safety inspections.
• Focus on stakeholder expectations during planning and execution.
• Adhere to project management tenets and client processes.
