Job summary

Sure Steel, Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior Project Manager to own the full lifecycle of complex structural steel fabrication and erection projects, including estimating, detailing, shop fabrication, and field erection, with Mass Timber experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM/engineering/related field or equivalent.
• 7–10 years PM experience on large structural steel projects.
• Expertise in structural steel fabrication/erection, AISC/AWS, crane and rigging, OSHA Subpart R.
• Proven leadership of cross-functional teams and multiple PMs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Project Management tools and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for multiple projects.
• Direct procurement strategy for steel and materials, coordinating with suppliers.
• Review specifications, drawings, and contracts for risk and compliance.
• Lead pre-construction planning: constructability reviews, VE, crane planning.
• Oversee shop fabrication and field erection, mentor project managers and crews.
• Manage project financial performance and variances; drive corrective actions.
• Lead client and stakeholder meetings; maintain relationships.
