LVI Associates is partnered with a leading specialty geotechnical design-build contractor seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of ground improvement projects throughout the Northeast region.
This is a construction-focused leadership opportunity for a professional who enjoys being close to project execution, field operations, commercial management, and client coordination. Unlike traditional consulting project management roles, this position offers significant ownership over project delivery and operational performance while maintaining close interaction with construction teams and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Operational Leadership
- Oversee and support project managers across multiple active construction projects.
- Drive operational delivery from project award through completion.
- Partner closely with field teams to ensure safe and efficient execution.
- Monitor project schedules, productivity, and overall performance.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and engineering teams.
- Resolve project challenges and maintain momentum across active work.
- Manage project budgets, contracts, forecasts, and commercial performance.
- Oversee change orders, scope modifications, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Maintain project profitability and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Evaluate project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Support resource planning and effective project execution.
- Serve as a senior leader within a growing regional operation.
- Mentor project managers and support team development.
- Maintain strong client relationships and stakeholder communication.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, operations, business development, and executive leadership teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Geotechnical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Proven experience managing geotechnical, heavy civil, specialty foundation, or design-build construction projects.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, contracts, and change orders.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
