Job summary

Michael Page is representing an established Ohio-based General Contractor seeking a Senior Project Manager to guide a growing special projects division. You will lead project oversight, enforce safety culture, and manage bid packages, meetings with subcontractors, and cost controls.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and accurate forecasting, with opportunities to grow the division within a well‑established GC and pursue high‑visibility initiatives.

Qualifications

• Background in Construction Project Management, Assistant Project Management, or Project Engineering.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, technologies, and project details.
• Clear and effective communication with teams, partners, and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with carpentry, masonry, concrete, site prep, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide project oversight while promoting a proactive safety culture on site.
• Oversee creation and evaluation of bid packages to secure competitive subcontractor proposals.
• Facilitate regular subcontractor meetings on the job site to ensure project objectives are met.
• Review monthly billing and manage documentation/approvals for timely funding.
• Lead cost-tracking including contracts, purchase orders, and scope adjustments to support project goals.
• Monitor financial performance and maintain accurate forecasting for the project.
• Act as the company's representative during subcontractor negotiations.

The Senior Project Manager Will Be Required To

Profile

The Ideal Senior Project Manager Will Have:

• Background in Construction Project Management, Assistant Project Management, or Project Engineering.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, technologies, and project details.
• Prior experience managing projects for a general contractor.
• Ability to thoroughly review and interpret construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
• Clear and effective communication skills with teams, partners, and stakeholders such as management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients.
• Familiarity with key skilled trades, including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site preparation, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical systems.

Job Offer

• Base Salary: $130,000-$165,000
• Bonus: $13,000-$16,000 (in the first year)
