Job summary

Austal USA, LLC is seeking a Project Manager to lead the Project Team in planning, scheduling, and execution for Home Port modifications and related activities. The role requires navigating a dynamic environment while maintaining schedule integrity and cost controls.

You will develop and monitor the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), coordinate with PSA prime contractor and subcontractors, and prepare weekly status and Navy briefing materials. US citizenship is required and some travel may apply.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or Project Management and 10+ years' ship repair leadership experience OR 12+ years' leadership with 2+ years of post-secondary education.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend ship construction drawings, schematics, manuals and adapt to live repair environments.
  • Proficient in PC use and Microsoft Office including MS Project.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Project Team and matrix organizational support for PSA, IMS and related activities.
  • Develop and monitor an executable Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Monitor work against baseline schedule and budgets; ensure accurate EAC data is fed into status tools.
  • Coordinate labor/material planning; assign costs to IMS activities to meet schedule and cost targets.
  • Maintain relationships with prime contractors, subcontractors, and Navy counterparts; prepare weekly Executive Review slides.
