Job summary

Turner & Townsend Heery in Los Angeles is seeking a Sr. Project Manager/Construction Manager to lead a landmark seismic upgrade project on a CMAR basis. You will oversee the owner’s representation and coordinate a multidisciplinary team through all project phases.

The role focuses on schedule, budget, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance for a $230M seismic program on a high-rise in downtown LA, delivering regular progress to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management.
• 15+ years’ experience as a project/construction manager on high-rise or seismic retrofit projects.
• Experience with CMAR delivery and leading consultant teams.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and permitting.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction and construction efforts for seismic upgrades of an occupied high-rise.
• Manage multidisciplinary team including consultants, A/E firms, and the CMAR.
• Oversee schedule, budget, quality assurance, safety, and code compliance.
• Prepare official communications and CEQA/NEPA-related documents.
• Develop risk management strategies and report progress to senior management.
