Job summary

Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking a Project Manager / Pre-Construction Manager for a large seismic retrofit project in Los Angeles. The role focuses on coordinating pre-construction activities, site due diligence, CMAR procurement, and readiness to support a high-rise retrofit.

Candidates should have a strong background in owner’s representative roles, public sector experience, and a bachelor’s in architecture, engineering, or construction management; California licensure or CCM is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Public Sector Experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in owner’s rep project/construction management.
• Experience with $100M+ projects including steel high-rises and occupied renovations.
• Knowledge of hazardous material abatement, CMAR, DB, and JOC delivery.

Responsibilities

• Pre-construction Management: Assist in the preparation and management of pre-construction documents and permitting activities.
• Coordination: Collaborate with A/E and CMAR teams for constructability reviews, cost modeling, and environmental documentation.
• Move Management: Lead planning efforts for move management, overseeing site logistics, utilities, and FF&E planning.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor testing activities and ensure QA/QC compliance during pre-construction.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
