Job summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts seeks a Senior Project Manager to own the lifecycle of a portfolio of large, complex projects within the Technical Program Management Office. You will drive objectives with senior leaders, ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, and mentor other managers across IT, Data Science, and DevOps.

Requires 10+ years of PM experience, a Bachelor's (Master's preferred), PMP or similar certification, and expert knowledge of Iterative Waterfall with Agile.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of proven project management experience delivering large, complex enterprise technology projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Management or related field; Master’s preferred.
• PMP or similar advanced certification is highly preferred.
• Expert-level knowledge of Iterative Waterfall and integrating with Agile frameworks.
• Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving abilities with data-driven decision making.
• Exceptional executive communication and facilitation skills with leadership presentation ability.
• Ability to navigate complex organizations and drive results independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead intake and planning for large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with senior leadership.
• Direct multiple high-visibility projects ensuring alignment, on-time delivery and budget adherence.
• Serve as central leader across IT, Data Science, DevOps and business units.
• Identify and mitigate enterprise-level risks and drive change management.
• Champion Iterative Waterfall while integrating with Agile methodologies.
• Translate technical requirements into business strategy for executives and teams.
• Mentor other Project Managers and improve PM discipline across the organization.
