Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Baltimore, MD seeks a Senior Project Manager to expand the Residential Land Development practice. You will lead the team, manage relationships with key clients, and drive strategy, with autonomy to grow the business and mentorship to staff.

8+ years of experience and a P.E. license or PLA preferred are desired. A strong network in local development, entitlements, and budgeting supports success. A performance-based bonus with potential ownership awaits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience managing residential land development projects.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or PLA preferred.
• Experience in entitlements and permit processing in local jurisdictions.
• Extensive client contacts and relationships with local developers, land use attorneys, planners and/or land owners.
• Business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgeting for projected work.
• Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner.
• Demonstrated ability to manage residential land development projects profitably.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Residential Land Development team while building and managing relationships with key clients.
• Provide vision, business planning and strategy; establish goals; grow and lead the practice.
• Manage projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, and mentor the team.
• Maintain autonomy to lead, direct, and grow the business.
