Job summary

Consertus is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the Chicagoland area to supervise owner representative activities for capital programs. You will coordinate design, procurement, and construction, manage budgets, milestones, and client communications, and lead a team across complex projects.

The role emphasizes public-sector and institutional projects, with a hybrid work schedule and travel to client sites as needed. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management or related field preferred.
• 12+ years of experience.
• Experience with K-12, Municipal, Healthcare or other institutional clients preferred; public-sector environment experience.
• Experience with Capital Programs and Construction Project Management.
• Ability to communicate complex project issues clearly to clients, boards and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel; hybrid work schedule expected.

Responsibilities

• Serve as day-to-day owner's representative and primary project contact for assigned projects; lead complex projects.
• Coordinate stakeholders, drive decisions, and resolve issues to meet objectives.
• Lead planning, programming, design management, procurement, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
• Identify risks, evaluate options, and provide practical recommendations to client leadership.
• Lead and document meetings; provide concise reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, and quality; manage changes and ensure contract compliance.
