Job summary

Muller, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Public Opportunities in Reston, VA. Hybrid work arrangement with responsibility for leading large-scale heavy civil and public infrastructure projects from initiation to closeout.

You will manage client relationships, develop budgets, monitor schedules, and ensure compliance with contract requirements and regulations. Strong proficiency in scheduling and PM software is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction methods, sequencing, and logistics.
• Proficiency in cost control systems and construction management software.
• Understanding of public contracts, specifications, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with public contracts (3 years).
• Experience with creating/managing schedules (3 years).
• Ability to lead multiple teams and complex projects simultaneously.
• Experience with scheduling software Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of multiple heavy civil construction projects including roadway, utilities, stormwater, grading, and site development.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract specifications and quality standards.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation efforts.
• Monitor project performance and proactively address risks and challenges.
• Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control processes.
• Ensure accurate billing.
• Identify opportunities to improve project profitability.
• Interpret and manage contracts, plans, specifications, and public agency requirements.
• Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, municipalities, and public agencies.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat work and future opportunities.
• Participate in progress meetings, presentations, and communications.
• Use PM Software (InEight) to efficiently manage project production and budget
