Job summary

Muller Inc in Reston, Virginia (Hybrid) is seeking a Project Manager to lead large-scale heavy civil and public infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and contract compliance.

You will oversee planning, budgeting, risk management, and client relations with owners and public agencies, delivering on time and within budget while pursuing opportunities for project profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy civil construction methods and site logistics.
• Proficiency in cost control systems and construction management software.
• Understanding of public contracts, specifications, and compliance requirements.
• 1–3 years of experience on public contracts.
• 1–3 years of experience creating and managing schedules.
• Ability to lead multiple complex projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple heavy civil projects including roadway, utilities, stormwater, grading, and site development.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery per contract specifications and quality standards.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project performance and address risks and challenges.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
• Ensure accurate billing.
• Identify opportunities to improve project profitability.
• Interpret contracts, plans, specs, and public agency requirements.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Serve as primary contact for owners, municipalities, and public agencies.
• Build client relationships for repeat work.
• Participate in progress meetings and presentations.
