Job summary

The City of Flagstaff is seeking a Civil Engineering professional to support the Capital Improvements Section through project management, technical plan reviews, and public communications. You will coordinate with multiple divisions and agencies, provide customer service to residents and staff, and help develop scopes of work for infrastructure projects.

You will present information to City Council and commissions, ensure regulatory compliance, and assist with field inspections and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field OR a Bachelors in a related field with EIT
• Five (5) years of professional experience as a Project Manager
• Arizona Professional Engineer (PE) registration, or current PE registration in another U.S. state
• Valid Driver’s License
• Any combination of relevant education and relevant experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis; substitutions may not substitute licenses

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service to residents, staff, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate across divisions and agencies for project delivery.
• Develop scopes of work and present to City Council and boards.
• Lead plan reviews to ensure compliance with scope and regs.
• Assist with inspections and field assessments.
• Provide technical data and recommendations to staff and public.
• Train other staff within the section on responsibilities.
• Support division-wide initiatives and special assignments.
