Job summary

Westway Constructions is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Project Executive for our DFW team. This role carries full P&L responsibility for hospital projects ranging from $1–20 million and involves staffing, mentoring, and close collaboration with our Business Development Manager to drive client relations.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years as a Senior PM or PX on hospital projects and a background in Engineering/Construction Management.

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture.
• 5+ years of experience as a Senior PM or Project Executive on projects in existing hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with owners, architects, engineers and subcontractors.
• Enforce company safety policies and programs on site.
• Review, monitor and coordinate shop drawings and submittals.
• Create schedules of values and obtain billing approvals from architect/owner.
• Collaborate with the onsite Superintendent to ensure contract conformance.
• Oversee Quality Control Program for the project.
• Prepare project budgets, change orders, and manage cost control.

Due to Westway Constructions continued growth and expansion, we are adding a Senior Project Manager/Project Executive to our DFW team. Westway focuses on projects in existing hospitals ranging from $1-20 mil in size. This person will have full profit and loss responsibility for the greater DFW area. You will handle the hiring and training of the teams, work closely with our Business Development Manager, and heavily focused on client relations. This would be the ideal role for an Established Operations Manager/Director or a strong Senior PM or PX ready for the next step in their career.

Requirements

• B.A. or B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture.
• 5+ years of experience as a Senior PM or Project Executive on projects in existing hospitals.

The Role You Will Play

• Establish and maintain professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers and subcontractors
• Promote and ensure compliance with company safety policies and programs
• Review, monitor, and coordinate all approvals of shop drawings and submittals
• Create schedules of values and receive billing approval from the architect/owner
• Team with the onsite Superintendent to guarantee contract conformance
• Oversee Quality Control Program for project
• Prepare the project budget, change orders, and manage cost control budget adjustments
• Formulate and monitor all required reports and logs
• Schedule and attend all project meetings and final walk throughs
• Supervise staff, including establishing and communicating performance expectations, providing feedback, determining training and development needs, and conducting on-the-job training
