Job description

Arora and Associates, PC is seeking qualified applicants for the following position in the Chicago, Illinois area.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of engineers and planners working on the design of civil/traffic/transportation project for Illinois transportation agencies
• Manage design of multiple concurrent engineering projects for technical accuracy and adherence to schedule and budget
• Coordinate subconsultants
• Ensure compliance with company’s QA/QC plan
• Visit project sites to troubleshoot construction issues
• Communicate and coordinate with clients’ representatives
• Prepare technical and cost proposals
• Assist with business development in the civil/traffic/transportation engineering space

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, traffic engineering, transportation planning or equivalent
• 30 years of progressive experience including the responsibilities outlined above on projects for Illinois transportation agencies such as Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), Illinois Tollway, local agencies and planning organizations
• Knowledgeable about design standards, policies and procedures Illinois transportation agencies such as IDOT and the Illinois Tollway
• Strong presentation and written communication skills
