Job summary

Arora and Associates, PC is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer in Illinois to lead the planning and design of roadway projects. The role requires guiding studies, plans, specs, and estimates and managing a team of engineers and planners.

You will coordinate with subconsultants, ensure QA/QC compliance, visit project sites, and liaise with clients while supporting proposals and business development in the civil/traffic/transportation space.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
• 10+ years of progressive civil/traffic/transportation engineering experience in design, ITS, hydraulics, or related fields.
• Knowledge of Illinois DOT standards and policies for IDOT and the Illinois Tollway.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design roadway projects.
• Lead studies, plans, specifications, and estimates for diverse projects.
• Manage a team of engineers and planners on civil/traffic/transportation designs.
• Coordinate subconsultants.
• Ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures.
• Visit project sites to inspect conditions.
• Communicate with clients’ representatives.
• Assist with technical and cost proposals.
• Support business development in civil/traffic engineering.
