Job summary

Ghafari Associates seeks an experienced Project Manager for the Process Mechanical Engineering group to lead project teams, control costs, and ensure client satisfaction. The role covers planning, budgeting, scheduling, and change management, with direct client liaison and internal coordination.

Required is a BS in engineering or business, 10+ years of experience, and strong communication and leadership skills. Master’s degree preferred; travel to client facilities is expected.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited university; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressively more responsible experience.
• Proficient with MS Project; strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, mentoring and conflict resolution abilities.
• Experience with AutoCAD, 3D CAD and Revit is a plus; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage development of project deliverables and quality standards to meet client requirements.
• Develop plans for executing and controlling projects: schedules, budgets, resources, change management.
• Ensure accuracy of engineering calculations and timely review of contractor deliverables.
• Maintain positive internal team morale with direction and coaching.
• Coordinate and document client meetings, project reviews, bid meetings, kick-offs, lessons learned.
• Define approval processes for deliverables.
• Ensure safety training and PPE for onsite work.
• Prepare and monitor invoicing through client approvals and payments.
• Support business development through proposals and sales activities.
• Travel with periodic overnight visits in North America or international locations.
