Job summary

Electric Machinery Company - WEG Group in Minneapolis seeks a seasoned Project Management leader to drive engineered-to-order power generation and heavy industrial equipment projects. You will lead a team from contract award through engineering, manufacturing, testing, shipment and final acceptance.

This role partners with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality, coordinating with WEG units worldwide to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years total experience with 5+ years in project management in rotating equipment or heavy industrial sectors.
• 2+ years leading or supervising teams.
• Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of project managers.
• Interview, hire and onboard new team members; plan, assign and direct work.
• Assign projects based on complexity, product line, customer and team capacity.
• Set short and medium-term goals; conduct performance reviews.
• Oversee execution of the project portfolio from sales handover to final acceptance.
• Review project schedules, milestones and deliverables; support recovery plans.
• Ensure risk management practices are applied with identified mitigations.
• Act as escalation point for customers, Sales and internal departments on critical issues.
• Coordinate with other WEG units to align on schedule, quality and documentation.
• Monitor project financial performance and ensure timely invoicing.
