Job summary

Electric Machinery Company. a division of WEG Electric Corp. in Minneapolis, MN seeks a Project Manager to lead wind turbine manufacturing projects from order receipt to contract fulfilment.

You will serve as the single point of contact for customers, coordinate cross-functional teams, manage schedules, budgets, and risks, and ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery of engineered-to-order equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in renewable energy, power generation, utility, heavy industrial manufacturing, or large capital equipment projects preferred.
• Strong customer interaction and relationship management skills with effective communication.
• Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Proficiency with SAP or similar work management software beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain the Project Plans with input from Engineering, Purchasing, Production and others.
• Establish a schedule of activities with milestones and acceptance criteria; log orders in ERP.
• Review Customer Purchase Orders/Contracts and project documents.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Production and Supply Chain for wind energy projects.
• Keep upper management informed of progress and risks; address issues promptly.
• Develop and implement risk management and contingency plans for project execution.
• Coordinate customer inspections and factory acceptance testing; document results.
• Manage customer surveys and feedback.
• Travel up to 10% to visit customer and vendor sites as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
