Job summary

Local Projects is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead two to three multidisciplinary projects concurrently, from concept through installation and warranty, in partnership with the Creative Director. You will oversee day-to-day delivery with designers, technologists, and content developers, and maintain rigorous plans and budgets.

Reporting to the Director of Project Management, you will own client relationships, manage scope, timing, and budget, and escalate risk early within the studio's

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of project management experience leading multiple projects from concept through production, installation, and warranty.
• Strong grasp of design processes, client partnerships, and project administration.
• Proven leader of project teams, building trust through clear, efficient communication.
• Excellent writing, documentation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team day-to-day, in partnership with the Creative Director, and know when to drive and when to shadow the creative process.
• Manage multidisciplinary workflow by defining and tracking team tasks and deliverables, with clear roles and responsibilities in every phase.
• Run project setup and close-out using the studio's templates, and contribute to post-project reviews.
• Coordinate with Production on software, media, and AV needs as projects require.
• Draft Scopes of Work, with Production input on software and media scoping, and manage them through execution.
• Build project timelines and work plans that capture cross-functional internal and external dependencies.
• Build and maintain project budgets, track actuals and burn, and adjust plans and budgets as direction, scope, or team changes, delivering on or under budget.
• Identify scope changes early, draft change orders.
• Own day-to-day communication with clients and partners of all levels, building long-standing relationships and keeping them informed of status, scope, and milestones.
• Scope, onboard, and oversee vendors and subcontractors, preparing vendor scopes and contract terms.
• Apply the studio's lifecycle framework, templates, and tools consistently, adapting them to each project.
• Produce clear, comprehensible status reports on schedule, budget, and risk for each project.
• Submit weekly resource needs and forecasts for each project.
• Provide project data for invoicing and receivables, keep actuals current so utilization, capacity, and budget reporting stay accurate, and respond promptly to finance questions
