Macdonald & Company in Los Angeles seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead a large-scale multifamily ground-up development from preconstruction through turnover. You will drive scope, schedule, cost, and team performance across owners, design teams, suppliers, and field operations.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in heavy residential construction, strong contract and risk management, and a proven ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction project management experience.
• Experience delivering large-scale, ground-up multifamily or mixed-use residential projects.
• Strong understanding of contracts, scheduling, estimating, procurement, and cost controls.
• Experience coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead project from preconstruction through turnover.
• Develop and maintain project schedule, budget, procurement strategy, and execution plan.
• Manage project costs including forecasting, commitments, change orders, contingency, and reporting.
• Lead contract administration and manage relationships with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Coordinate design development, submittals, RFIs, constructability reviews, and value-engineering.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Lead regular OAC, subcontractor, design, and project team meetings.
• Collaborate with Superintendent and field leadership on quality, safety, schedule, and productivity.
• Review and negotiate change orders and payment applications.
• Maintain clear reporting to ownership and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and develop project engineers and assistants.
