Project Manager – Mission-Critical / Data Center
Hyperscale data center experience? This is your next move.
North Texas has more planned data centers than anywhere else in the state, and my client is building a large share of them. They are one of the most active general contractors in DFW, and they’re adding a Project Manager to their Plano office to lead a multi-building hyperscale data center program. This is a long-term pipeline of repeat work for the same tier-one clients, not a one-off job.
As a Project Manager you will:
- Lead a high-profile mission-critical program with $100M+ phases and repeat buildings
- Join a well-funded team with strong backing for mission-critical growth in DFW
- Stay local in the Plano / North Dallas area, with no long-term travel
What you’ll do
- Own each project from preconstruction to commissioning handover: budget, schedule, risk and margin
- Manage MEP-heavy scopes, with electrical and mechanical making up most of the cost
- Buy out and manage subcontractors, change orders and procurement of long-lead equipment (switchgear, generators, chillers)
- Be the main point of contact for owner, design and commissioning teams
- Lead and mentor APMs and project engineers
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years as a Project Manager with a commercial or industrial GC
- At least one data center, mission-critical, semiconductor or other highly technical project delivered
- A strong grasp of electrical and mechanical systems, integrated schedules and Level 1–5 commissioning
- Experience with Procore or similar project management tools
- A degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field (preferred)
Nice to have
- Experience on hyperscale campuses (Microsoft, Google, Meta, AWS or similar)
- PMP or LEED credentials
Package:
- Up to $185,000 base salary
- Annual performance bonus, plus vehicle allowance, fuel card and phone
- Medical, dental and vision cover, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off
- A clear path to Senior PM or Project Executive within a fast-growing division
