Job summary

Gtatelecom is seeking a Project Manager for Data Center Projects in the Richardson, TX area. The role starts remotely with travel to project sites about 3 days a week, overseeing projects from preconstruction through turnover.

You will lead with design teams, field leadership, OEMs, commissioning providers, and client operations, with a base salary in the $130K–$140K range and a performance bonus, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction project management experience.
• 3+ years in data center or mission-critical construction.
• Experience delivering $20M+ projects on fast-track schedules.
• Strong understanding of MEP and critical power/cooling infrastructure.
• Knowledge of UPS, generators, switchgear, chillers, BMS/EPMS.
• Understanding of data center redundancy including N, N+1, and 2N.
• Hands-on exposure to L1–L5 commissioning and IST.
• Experience managing long-lead equipment procurement and vendor coordination.
• Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Experience with Procore and cost management tools.
• Strong change control, RFIs, change orders, cost forecasting, risk management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Project Manager – Data Center Projects

We are hiring a Project Manager – Data Center Projects for a full-time, direct-hire opportunity in the Richardson, TX / DFW area. The position will start remotely with travel to project sites as needed, likely around 3 days per week. This role supports large-scale, mission-critical data center construction projects and will oversee projects from preconstruction and procurement through construction, L1–L5 commissioning, Integrated Systems Testing (IST), and final turnover.

You will have visibility across the entire project lifecycle and work closely with design teams, field leadership, OEMs, commissioning providers, BMS/EPMS integrators, and client operations. Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of construction project management experience
• 3+ years of data center or mission-critical construction experience
• Experience delivering $20M+ construction projects on fast-track schedules
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and critical power/cooling infrastructure

• Understanding of data center redundancy configurations including N, N+1, and 2N
• Hands-on exposure to L1–L5 commissioning and Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
• Experience managing long-lead equipment procurement, vendor coordination, FAT and SAT activities
• Experience developing and managing project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
• Experience with Procore and construction cost management tools
• Strong knowledge of change control, RFIs, change orders, cost forecasting, and project risk management
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier concepts and TIA-942 resiliency ratings
• Working knowledge of ASHRAE TC 9.9 guidelines
• Experience with phased data center turnover and upgrades in live/energized environments
• Experience developing or executing MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs
• PMP, CCM, or equivalent project management credential
• Experience coordinating commissioning providers, OEMs, BMS/EPMS integrators, and client operations
