Job summary

Spencer Ogden is seeking a Senior Electrical Construction Project Manager with extensive Data Center / Mission Critical experience to lead large-scale electrical projects in Texas. You will direct delivery from preconstruction through turnover, manage budgets and schedules, and maintain client relationships across the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in electrical construction, hands-on leadership of multi-disciplinary teams, and a track record delivering hyperscale data

Qualifications

• 8+ years of electrical construction project management experience.
• Projects valued at $20M–$100M+.
• Data Center / Mission Critical experience required.
• Hyperscale Data Center experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction, estimating, budgeting, scheduling and project controls.
• Detailed understanding of project financials, billing, forecasting and reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related discipline preferred.
• Journeyman or Master Electrical License strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large project teams and work directly with major clients.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Accubid, BIM 360, Primavera P6, MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of large-scale electrical construction projects.
• Manage projects through all phases, from preconstruction through turnover.
• Establish objectives, delivery strategies, procedures, schedules and performance standards.
• Lead project teams and coordinate with Project Executives, Superintendents, Estimating, Engineering, Procurement and Commissioning.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost control, billing, cash flow and financial reporting.
• Review, negotiate and manage change orders, including pricing.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors and stakeholders.
• Represent the company in project and client meetings.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure NEC/OSHA compliance with project specs and safety standards.
• Provide accurate project reporting and schedule visibility.
• Support client development and identify opportunities for future project work.
• Lead projects from the project site, with travel as required.

Location: Texas

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Construction Project Manager with significant Data Center / Mission Critical construction experience to lead the delivery of major electrical projects.

This is a senior project leadership position requiring strong commercial, financial and operational knowledge, together with the ability to lead project teams and maintain relationships with major clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of large-scale electrical construction projects.
• Manage projects through all phases, from preconstruction and planning through installation, commissioning and final turnover.
• Establish project objectives, delivery strategies, procedures, schedules and performance standards.
• Lead project teams and coordinate closely with Project Executives, Superintendents, Estimating, Engineering, Procurement and Commissioning.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost control, billing, cash flow and financial reporting.
• Review, negotiate and manage change orders, including takeoffs and pricing.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors and other project stakeholders.
• Represent the company in project and client meetings.
• Identify project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensure electrical work complies with NEC requirements, OSHA regulations, project specifications and company safety standards.
• Provide accurate project reporting and maintain visibility of schedule and financial performance.
• Support client development and identify opportunities for future project work.
• Lead projects from the project site, with travel required depending on project location.

• Experience managing electrical projects valued at $20M–$100M+.
• Data Center / Mission Critical experience is required.
• Hyperscale Data Center experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction, estimating, budgeting, scheduling and project controls.
• Detailed understanding of project financials, billing, forecasting and reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
• Journeyman or Master Electrical License strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large project teams and work directly with major clients.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction vendors, subcontractors and supply chains.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Accubid, BIM 360, Primavera P6, MS Project or comparable construction software.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel and work from the project site as required.
• Ability to successfully complete required background and driving record checks.
