Job summary

Ajax Building Company, part of the STO Building Group, seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead planning and execution of mission critical construction projects in Tampa, FL. You will coordinate field leadership, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure safety, on-schedule delivery and budget adherence.

You will serve as the primary contact for owners, architects, and engineers, driving project performance and financial success, reporting to the Project Executive.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of relevant construction project management experience.
• Experience managing mission critical / data center projects from conception to completion.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• General Contractor License preferred.
• Strong understanding of industry practices and trends and their impact on the corporation.
• Advanced interpersonal, communicative, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, evaluate, and manage all assigned personnel.
• Develop and implement normal operating procedures for project operations.
• Approve material purchases and equipment rentals not covered in the estimate.
• Act as company representative in negotiations with the owners.
• Approve the purchase of tools and supplies on jobsite.
• Approve all contract agreements and cost of outside repairs of equipment at the site.
• Review reports used to monitor time, cost, quality and safety.
• Oversee preparation of the project budget and schedule.
• Audit activities to ensure efficient, profitable projects from signing to warranty.
• Maintain commitment to the Quality Improvement Plan.
• Maintain relations with project teams, subcontractors, and owners.
