A reputable construction management firm in Chicago is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Mechanical Piping/HVAC. The ideal candidate will manage project schedules, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure safety regulations are enforced on site. Experience in mechanical and plumbing construction is necessary, along with strong communication skills and project management experience.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with commercial/industrial mechanical and plumbing construction.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Clean criminal background and credit history.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret mechanical and plumbing construction drawings.
• Manage overall project schedule.
• Attend weekly meetings with general contractors.
• Host daily meetings with subcontractors/vendors.
• Coordinate internal resources and third-parties/vendors.
• Track and document changes in scope.
• Daily management and quality control of subcontractors.
• Complete quality control inspections.

Position: Senior Project Manager – Mechanical Piping/HVAC

• Ability to pass military background check and gain access to DoD installations
• Must pass drug screening and background check

Job Responsibilities

• Read and interpret mechanical and plumbing construction drawings and cut sheets.
• Responsibly for reviewing and management of overall project schedule.
• Attendance of weekly meetings both with general contractor and/or DoD personnel.
• Host daily meetings with subcontractors/vendors working on site.
• Coordinate internal resources and third-parties/vendors for the execution of project.
• Tracking and documenting changes in scope.
• Daily management and quality control of subcontractors.
• Review of received materials & equipment against approved submittals.
• Completion of quality control inspections and daily work completed reports.
• Maintain and enforce safety regulations and building code requirements to ensure all work is performed in a safe manner.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project.
• First Aid / CPR Certified – Training provided
• OSHA 30 Certified – Training provided

Experience/Education

• Prior experience with commercial/industrial mechanical and plumbing construction and/or project management.
• Associate or higher degree in engineering related program or equivalent trade/related experience preferred.
