Job summary

TYG is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale HVAC and mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout in Kentucky. You will drive project performance, manage budgets, and coordinate with owners, GC partners, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role emphasizes leadership, safety, and collaboration with estimating, VDC, prefabrication, and commissioning teams to achieve excellence on landmark commercial and healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience in mechanical or HVAC contracting.
• Experience managing large commercial mechanical construction projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, piping and plumbing systems.
• Excellent financial management, budgeting and forecasting skills.
• Experience managing subcontractors and vendors.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• OSHA 30 preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Procore, Primavera P6 and related construction software.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of mechanical construction projects from award through completion.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost reports, billings, cash flow and overall financial performance.
• Develop and maintain relationships with owners, general contractors, engineers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with Superintendents to ensure field operations stay on schedule and within budget.
• Review contract documents and identify project risks and opportunities.
• Procure equipment and major mechanical packages; negotiate and manage change orders.
• Lead project meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.
• Partner with estimating, VDC, prefabrication and commissioning teams during execution.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, and to high quality standards.
