Job summary

Myers and Sons Construction is seeking a Project Manager to lead a major CMGC highway project in Los Angeles County, from pre-construction through early execution. You will supervise a civil team on MOT, roadways, drainage and electrical scopes, while coordinating with LA Metro, cities, and design staff to ensure on-time, on-budget performance.

The role demands strong leadership, extensive experience in heavy civil projects in California, and a proactive approach to safety, quality, and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in highly complex highway or structures construction projects in California.
• Experience leading a project team and managing subcontractors.
• Excellent organizational, team management, problem solving, motivational skills.

Responsibilities

• On-site problem solving during construction.
• Assist in development of a project site logistics plan with Project Superintendent.
• Maintain understanding of the contract with LA Metro.
• Monitor project costs and Job Cost reports.
• Forecast monthly Total Cost Projection reports.
• Monitor project labor and safety programs.
• Lead the project quality process and coordinate submittals, RFIs, and Change Orders.
• Develop and maintain relationships with designers, vendors, subcontractors and owners.
