**This position will require extensive travel to projects across the US and may require travel up to 100% - applicants must be willing to travel extensively for this role.**

Role Summary

The Senior Aptitude Project Manager will provide overall regional direction and leadership for the Aptitude program across all phases of the project lifecycle. This position is responsible for strategic direction, operational excellence, financial management, team leadership, stakeholder relationship management, driving contracting and business development, and comprehensive risk management to meet or exceed all contractual and financial targets. All activities will support JE Dunn's strategy, vision, and values.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core
  • Supports all aspects of the company's safety culture and demonstrates commitment to an injury-free environment.
  • Coordinates technology-related design and construction efforts to meet standards.
  • Provides technical expertise related to design assist, installation, and network integration.
  • Creates technology-specific scopes of work and responsibility matrices.
  • Performs quantity takeoffs and obtains vendor & trade partner pricing for budgets or proposals.
  • Manages budgets, costs, and projections.
  • Assists with the development and discipline of Aptitude processes and standards.
  • Leads, coaches, and motivates team members.
  • Supports deployment of Aptitude strategies for project delivery.
  • Participates in communication programs to market and deliver technology services.
  • Manages budgets, schedules, staffing, billing, and collections.
  • Develops and manages project plans and schedules.
  • Tracks and reports project milestones.
  • Communicates and resolves issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Measures results and conducts post-project evaluations.
  • Ensures proper management and archiving of project documents.
Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core

In addition, the Senior Aptitude Project Manager will:

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through education and networking.
  • Engage with civic organizations to establish Aptitude as a differentiator.
  • Manage the technology consulting process and initiate business development.
  • Oversee strategic direction, resource management, financial management, and growth strategies.
  • Serve as the regional relationship executive.
  • Act as the escalation point for project, financial, business development, contractual, and risk issues.
  • Review and ensure sufficient staffing levels.
  • Participate in business planning and operational decisions.
  • Lead communication on Aptitude integration within the organization.
  • Develop and train new team members.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to perform work accurately, timely, and completely.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to develop project proposals, fees, and work plans.
  • Strong personal and interpersonal skills, self-starter with follow-through.
  • Thorough knowledge of project processes.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate.
  • Ability to manage budgets and profitability.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, IT, or related field (Required).
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience
  • 10+ years in IT/Security/Life Safety systems (Required).
  • 8+ years of project management experience (Required).
Working Environment
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • May require travel and/or relocation.
  • Willing to work non-traditional hours.
  • May be exposed to extreme conditions.
  • Work may be at project sites or in the office.
