This position will require extensive travel to projects across the US and may require travel up to 100% - applicants must be willing to travel extensively for this role.

Role Summary

The Senior Aptitude Project Manager will provide overall regional direction and leadership for the Aptitude program across all phases of the project lifecycle. This position is responsible for strategic direction, operational excellence, financial management, team leadership, stakeholder relationship management, and risk management, aiming to meet or exceed contractual and financial targets. All activities support JE Dunn's strategy, vision, and values.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core
  • Supports all aspects of the company's safety culture, demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment.
  • Coordinates technology-related design and construction efforts meeting standards.
  • Provides technical expertise on design assist, installation, and network integration.
  • Creates project-specific scopes of work and responsibility matrices.
  • Performs quantity takeoffs and obtains vendor and trade partner pricing for budgets or proposals.
  • Manages project budgets, costs, and projections.
  • Assists with the development and enforcement of Aptitude processes and standards.
  • Leads, coaches, and motivates team members aligned with JE Dunn's values.
  • Supports deployment of Aptitude strategies for project delivery.
  • Participates in communication and strategy sessions to enhance marketing and service delivery.
  • Manages project budgets, schedules, staffing, billing, and collections.
  • Develops and manages project plans and schedules.
  • Tracks and reports project milestones and progress.
  • Communicates and resolves issues effectively throughout projects.
  • Conducts post-project evaluations and manages documentation.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintains professional knowledge through education and networking.
  • Engages with civic and municipal organizations to promote Aptitude services.
  • Manages technology consulting processes and initiates business development.
  • Oversees strategic direction, resource, financial, client, and growth strategies.
  • Acts as regional relationship executive and escalation point for risks.
  • Ensures sufficient staffing and reviews resource plans.
  • Participates in business planning and operational decisions.
  • Leads communication on Aptitude integration within the organization.
  • Recruits, selects, orients, and trains new team members.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, IT, or related field (Required).
  • Equivalent relevant experience considered.
  • 10+ years in IT/Security/Life Safety systems (Required).
  • 8+ years project management experience (Required).
Working Environment
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours.
  • Exposure to extreme conditions possible.
