Job summary

JRM Construction Management LLC is seeking a Senior Project Manager in California to lead project teams and oversee all phases from preconstruction through closeout. You will drive strategy, staffing and execution while managing budgets, schedules and client relationships.

The role requires deep construction knowledge, leadership skills and a track record of delivering interiors/high-end projects, with strong risk management and communication capabilities.

Qualifications

• Leadership and team management experience on complex projects.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities for multi-project oversight.
• Understanding of construction contracts, cost control and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of accountability for overall project success, liaising between client, design team, consultants and subcontractors from preconstruction through closeout.
• Lead project strategy, staffing, and execution to align with client expectations and contract requirements.
• Oversee project administration including change orders, document control, meetings, and closeout.
• Own project financial performance from start to finish including budgets, forecasting and cost reporting.
• Lead financial controls including change orders, billing, receivables and subcontractor management.
• Mitigate project risks and drive resolution strategies with leadership and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and ensure high satisfaction and repeat business.
• Mentor APMs and PMs, ensuring team performance and development.
• Oversee multiple projects or large-scale initiatives with delivery accountability.
• Coordinate with field leadership to ensure schedule adherence and quality across phases.
• Drive high-level decisions with executive leadership on complex/high-visibility projects.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, company standards and safety expectations.
