JRM Construction is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead project teams in California, ensuring successful delivery and strong client relations. The role emphasizes strategic direction, financial stewardship, and cross-functional coordination with on-site staff and executives.

Qualified candidates bring 10+ years of interiors or high-end project experience, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of construction contracts, safety, scheduling, and risk management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in interiors or high-end projects, preferably commercial or corporate offices.
  • Knowledge of construction disciplines, contracts, scheduling, safety, drawings and documents.
  • Thorough understanding of industry and New York Metro market.
  • OSHA 30-hour
  • 4-hour Scaffold User Certificate

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for overall project success and liaison among client, design team, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Lead project strategy, staffing, and execution while aligning with client expectations and company objectives.
  • Oversee project administration, directing APMs and PMs on change orders, documentation, meetings, and closeout.
  • Own project financial performance from start to finish including budgets, forecasting, cost reporting, and profitability.
  • Manage financial controls such as change orders, billing, receivables, and subcontractor financials.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, delays, scope gaps, and claims with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and pursue repeat business.
  • Mentor APMs and PMs to ensure team performance and accountability.
  • Oversee multiple projects or large-scale programs with delivery and client experience responsibility.
  • Coordinate with field leadership to ensure quality and schedule adherence across all phases.
  • Drive high-level decisions with executive leadership on complex projects.
