Job summary

Butler-Cohen Design + Build seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of highly complex commercial construction projects in Texas. You will mentor Project Managers and Engineers while ensuring financial, contractual, and operational success across projects.

Lead multi-project delivery, manage risk, and collaborate with owners, architects, and trade partners to deliver on aggressive timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading complex commercial construction projects and multiple project teams.
• Strong leadership and people development skills with a passion for mentoring future leaders.
• Advanced understanding of project financials, forecasting, contracts, risk management, and scheduling.
• Experience with CPM scheduling, cost control, change management, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of projects totaling $50M-$100M+ annually, or oversee a single large-scale, highly complex project.
• Develop, mentor, and supervise Project Managers, Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineers.
• Drive project financial performance, forecasting, cash flow, contingency management, and margin protection.
• Manage project risk, contract administration, claims, change management, and subcontractor performance.
• Partner with Preconstruction to support estimating, buyout strategy, constructability reviews, and successful project handoffs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
• Lead project recovery efforts, staffing strategies, and resource planning across multiple teams.
• Support business development activities, client pursuits, interviews, and proposal presentations.
