Job summary

Caltech is seeking a Project Manager in Pasadena to oversee capital improvement and lab/office renovations within the Institute. You will lead projects from inception through close-out, coordinating with divisions, departments, and external design and construction professionals.

The role requires delivering projects on time and within budget, negotiating contracts, managing procurement, and ensuring compliance with Caltech standards. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in architecture, engineering, interior design, construction management, city planning, or related discipline.
• Minimum 6-8 years’ work experience in project management or construction management of new building and/or renovation projects.
• LEED AP or LEED GA certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital improvement and renovation projects from inception through close-out.
• Develop budgets, schedules, scopes of work and status reports.
• Oversee bidding, contracts, invoices, change orders and commissioning.
• Coordinate with multiple departments and external consultants to deliver projects on time and within budget.
