Job summary

University of California, Berkeley is seeking a Project Manager 4 to oversee design and construction of capital projects, including renovations, expansions, and new facilities. You will collect data, determine requirements, and prepare specifications, costs, and timelines across majors and campus partners.

The role requires advanced project management, budget development, and contract administration, with leadership over engineers, architects, and consultants.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of building and construction, design, contract administration and California Building Codes.
• Advanced project management skills for highly complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, manages, and oversees design activities, including defining project scope and program with clients.
• Establishes project plan, budget, and coordinates funding transfers across units.
• Hires architectural/engineering firms and leads consultants; manages RFIs and submittals.
• Prepares cost estimates, schedules, and budget reports; tracks milestones and master plans.
