Job summary

Howard Building Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Costa Mesa, CA to lead fast-paced commercial interiors and mentor a growing team of project professionals. You will manage tenant improvements from preconstruction through turnover, while strengthening client relationships and pursuing new opportunities.

You’ll guide project teams, oversee budgets, schedules, and procurement, and ensure safe, high-quality, profitable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success independently managing complex commercial construction projects.
• Strong financial, estimating, scheduling, forecasting, and contract-management skills.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and developing Project Managers and other project-management staff.
• Ability to oversee multiple projects and teams while maintaining visibility into financial performance, schedule, risk, staffing, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead tenant improvement and larger commercial interiors projects from preconstruction through turnover.
• Oversee project budgets, subcontracts, procurement, RFIs, submittals, change management, and documentation.
• Coordinate schedules with the Superintendent and project team.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and lead business development efforts.
• Mentor and develop Project Managers, APMs, and Engineers across multiple projects.
