Job summary

Howard Building Corporation is seeking a Project Manager to lead fast-paced commercial interiors from preconstruction through turnover. You’ll work with clients, architects, superintendents, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality spaces on time and within budget.

You’ll own budgets, procurement, and scheduling while guiding a talented team and fostering long-term client relationships. The role emphasizes leadership and problem-solving in a dynamic project environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Excellent client and subcontractor communication skills.
• Strong budgeting, estimating, and cost-control abilities.
• Proficient in scheduling and project documentation management.
• Experience with preconstruction, value engineering, and risk management.
• Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, estimating, buyout, forecasting, billing, and cost control.
• Handle subcontracts, procurement, RFIs, submittals, change management and project docs.
• Coordinate schedules with the Superintendent and project team.
• Maintain client, architect, consultant, landlord, and subcontractor relationships.
• Oversee preconstruction, constructability reviews, value engineering, and planning.
• Identify project risks and drive problem-solving.
• Oversee punch, closeout, and warranty follow-up.
• Mentor and develop APMs and project engineers.
